Graduate Entrepreneur Stream: Alberta education and PGWP

Graduate Entrepreneur Stream requires two years of full-time Alberta education resulting in a degree or diploma from an eligible publicly funded institution, a valid PGWP at EOI, NCLC 7, and at least 34% ownership. There is no mandatory minimum investment; investment is a ranking factor rather than a core threshold.

Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream: foreign degree and agency

Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream requires a degree from outside Canada completed within ten years and supported by an ECA, at least six months of qualifying business or incubator experience, and a designated agency recommendation. It requires NCLC 5, 34% urban or 51% regional ownership, and CAD 100,000 urban or CAD 50,000 regional investment.

Rural Entrepreneur Stream: community, experience, and capital

Rural Entrepreneur Stream requires a community under 100,000 and outside the Calgary and Edmonton CMAs, plus a Community Support Letter. The first three ordinarily require business approval, performance commitments, at least 12 months of active operation, and a Final Report for Nomination.
