AAIP Entrepreneur Final Report for Nomination

In the ordinary path, a candidate first fulfils the signed Business Performance Agreement and operates the approved business for at least 12 months. The candidate then submits the Final Report for Nomination with required supporting business records. Approval can produce a provincial nomination, but the report is not a permanent residence application and IRCC makes the federal decision.

What the Final Report is

The Final Report for Nomination is submitted once an ordinary candidate meets the signed Business Performance Agreement and asks AAIP for nomination. It is not an EOI, Business Application, work-permit request, or permanent residence application.

Graduate Entrepreneur timeline

A Graduate Entrepreneur candidate must reside in Alberta, actively own and operate at least 34% of the eligible business for at least 12 months, and demonstrate that it generates products or services after one year. Submit the Start-up Report within 30 days of the issue date on the Business Application Approval Letter. Submit a Business Progress Report after each six-month period measured from that approval letter.

Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur timeline

A Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur candidate must reside in Alberta, own at least 34% in an urban centre or 51% in a regional area, actively operate for at least 12 months, and then demonstrate products or services. Submit the Arrival Report within 30 days of the work permit issue date and a Business Progress Report after each six-month period measured from that work permit date.

Rural Entrepreneur timeline

A Rural Entrepreneur candidate must reside and operate in a rural Alberta community for at least 12 months, owning at least 51% of a new business or 100% for business succession, then demonstrate products or services. The Arrival Report is due within 30 days of the work permit issue date, and the Business Progress Report follows each six-month period from that date.

Use the official report and requested evidence

Use the current official Final Report and supporting business documents requested for the file. This site does not invent a fixed evidence checklist: the signed agreement, live AAIP instructions and case-specific request control what must be provided. Keep ownership, operation, investment, jobs and earlier reports consistent. This site does not accept or collect business or personal document uploads.

Keep complying during assessment

AAIP assesses whether the agreement has been fulfilled and the applicable criteria remain satisfied. The candidate must continue to meet the Business Performance Agreement throughout nomination assessment. Filing the report does not freeze the business obligations or guarantee a nomination certificate.

Approval, nomination and permanent residence are separate

If approval is granted, AAIP issues a provincial nomination certificate or nomination letter and notifies IRCC. The candidate then uses the IRCC non-Express Entry PNP permanent residence process. IRCC decides federal eligibility, admissibility and permanent residence; provincial nomination is not final federal approval.

Established-business, language and stream boundaries

A candidate approved under established business criteria is not required to sign a Business Performance Agreement and does not follow the ordinary additional one-year and Final Report operating stage. In speaking/listening/reading/writing order: Graduate NCLC 7 = 10/458/453/10; Foreign Graduate NCLC 5 = 6/369/375/6; Rural NCLC 4 = 4/331/342/4. Results must be less than two years old at EOI. Farm Stream follows a separate paper application and is outside this three-stream Final Report flow. Frequently asked questions

When can an AAIP Entrepreneur submit the Final Report?
