AAIP Entrepreneur Net Worth Worksheet Explained
The Net Worth Worksheet is EOI-stage financial information, not the later Qualified Service Provider Report. Graduate lists it when the candidate is investing; Foreign Graduate requires it and separately tests investment and settlement funds; Rural has explicit net-worth and investment minimums. Every claim must remain supportable at the Business Application stage.
Separate the EOI worksheet from the later report
The Net Worth Worksheet records information for an Expression of Interest or EOI and its scoring. It is different from a Qualified Service Provider Report. That later Business Application evidence may assess or verify net worth and business investment after a request, according to the stream and request email.
Graduate Entrepreneur rule
Graduate Entrepreneur lists the Net Worth Worksheet as applicable when the candidate is investing in the proposed business. Total business investment is not a mandatory requirement, but declared investment can earn EOI points. A worksheet or a higher amount cannot guarantee selection.
Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur rule
Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur lists the Net Worth Worksheet as required in the EOI package. The current mandatory business investment is CAD 100,000 for an urban centre or CAD 50,000 for a regional area, using permitted equity or recognized Canadian financing. Foreign Graduate settlement funds are a separate requirement based on family size and community population, covering at least six months of support while launching the venture.
Rural Entrepreneur rule
Rural Entrepreneur has a minimum of CAD 300,000 net worth and at least CAD 100,000 business investment. Assets must be the candidate's own personal holdings or those of a spouse or common-law partner; investment uses the candidate's and/or partner's own equity. The two amounts are assessed separately.
Keep the financial concepts and business documents separate
Net worth, business investment and settlement funds are separate financial concepts. A Business Proposal Summary outlines the venture and a business plan develops its operating and financial case; they are separate documents and neither replaces the worksheet or independent provider report.
Make every EOI claim supportable
AAIP assesses and scores EOI information, but an eligible or high-scoring EOI does not guarantee a request to submit a Business Application. EOI claims and information must be supportable and consistent with the later Business Application, business plan, asset evidence and investment records. Do not declare a target amount that cannot be documented.
Use the current form and protect financial data
All three pages link to the official AINP12608 form. This fillable PDF may not open correctly on a mobile device or in a web browser; Alberta directs candidates to save it and use desktop Adobe Reader. Protect private personal financial information and submit only through the official AAIP portal or process. This site does not collect financial data and will not accept a worksheet upload. The live Alberta page and current form take priority.
Language, stream and decision boundaries
In speaking/listening/reading/writing order: Graduate NCLC 7 = 10/458/453/10; Foreign Graduate NCLC 5 = 6/369/375/6; Rural NCLC 4 = 4/331/342/4. Results must be less than two years old at EOI. Farm Stream follows a separate paper application and is outside this three-stream guide. AAIP decides provincial assessment and nomination; IRCC decides federal status, including a work permit and permanent residence. This is not legal advice, immigration advice, accounting advice, tax advice or financial advice.
