TCF Canada Writing Evaluation

Submit a completed TCF writing response for TCF, CEFR and NCLC training estimates plus a task-level diagnosis. Standard or deep modes add targeted sentence corrections and improved versions. The page explains the service publicly; full evaluation requires eligible access.

What the report covers

  • TCF, CEFR and NCLC training estimates
  • Prompt, word-count and four-criterion diagnosis by task
  • Corrections, improved versions and next practice depending on mode

Writing feedback example

This excerpt shows how a standard report turns one French response into specific next steps.

Example response excerpt

Je suis allé au centre hier et j'ai demandé des renseignements sur les cours.
  1. Task completion: the action and purpose are clear.
  2. Expression: moving the time marker forward to “Hier, je suis allé…” makes the sequence more natural.
  3. Next step: add the information received or the decision that followed.

This example shows the report structure only; it is not a real user's result and does not guarantee a score.

How your writing is analyzed

The training report separates four dimensions so you can distinguish prompt, organization, and language-control problems.

Task achievement
Checks the prompt, purpose, intended reader, and required parts of the task.
Coherence and cohesion
Reviews idea order, paragraph structure, development, and logical connections.
Lexical range and control
Identifies word-choice accuracy, repetition, and vocabulary that could be improved.
Grammatical range and accuracy
Reviews sentence structures, tense, agreement, and errors that affect understanding.

Training feedback versus official scoring

The report helps diagnose a response but does not reproduce the official France Éducation international scoring process.

  • Official TCF writing is assessed twice, independently and double-blind, by trained evaluators.
  • The AI report provides a training estimate, targeted errors, and revision guidance; it does not issue an official score.

Turn the estimate into an NCLC target

The AI estimate is for practice planning only; it is not a language result for Express Entry or another immigration program. After an official TCF Canada test, convert each ability with the IRCC equivalency table.

How it works

  1. 1.Choose a writing task and complete it
  2. 2.Submit with an available scoring mode
  3. 3.Review the report and continue targeted practice

TCF writing evaluation questions

Do I need to sign in for AI writing evaluation?

The service description and current bank size are public. Opening writing practice, submitting a response, and generating a full report require sign-in and eligible access.

Does a standard free account include full AI correction?

No. A standard free account does not include full correction; current access is shown before submission and on the membership page.

Does paid membership include unlimited AI writing evaluation?

No. All four paid plans unlock the same writing bank and mock-exam content, but AI use remains subject to the account's available allowance and service status, checked again before submission.

Is the estimated score an official TCF result?

No. It is training feedback and does not replace an official TCF result or an examiner's assessment.

What does the TCF writing report evaluate?

The training report reviews task achievement, coherence and cohesion, lexical range and control, and grammatical range and accuracy, then identifies a next practice priority.
