AAIP Entrepreneur Business Proposal Summary Guide

Graduate Entrepreneur uses AINP12607 at EOI. Rural Entrepreneur completes AINP12666 for community review and endorsement, obtains a Community Support Letter, and then submits the EOI. Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur does not use either summary form; it uses a Business Plan, Pitch Deck, designated-agency Letter of Recommendation and Net Worth Worksheet instead.

Match the form to the stream and stage

Graduate Entrepreneur uses AINP12607 with its EOI. Rural Entrepreneur completes AINP12666, sends it to the community for review, and—if the venture benefits the community—receives endorsement plus a Community Support Letter before the EOI. Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur does not use AINP12607 or AINP12666. Its EOI package instead includes a Business Plan, Pitch Deck, Letter of Recommendation from a designated agency and Net Worth Worksheet.

Keep the summary separate from other evidence

A Business Proposal Summary is not the same as a complete business plan. It is also distinct from a Pitch Deck, Business Plan Evaluation Report, Qualified Service Provider Report and Net Worth Worksheet. For Rural, a Community Support Letter and Exploratory Visit Report are separate records with different purposes.

Cover the stable form categories

The forms ask at category level for the business name, community or address, 6-digit NAICS, business model, goods or services, and whether the venture is new, existing or a franchise. They also cover ownership, the candidate's role and active daily management, investment and ownership percentage, relevant experience, direct full-time jobs, opportunity rationale, commercial viability and community fit. Use the current form for exact fields.

Make it concise, specific and supportable

The forms warn that length alone does not demonstrate strong intent. AAIP publishes no single word count for these summaries. A concise, specific and supportable answer should connect customers, value, location, daily role, investment and jobs with facts that can later be documented.

Keep every later record consistent

The EOI, Net Worth Worksheet, community discussions, later full business plan, Business Application and provider reports should remain consistent. An EOI is not a Business Application, and a complete or high-scoring submission cannot guarantee community support, an application request or nomination.

Use the live version and protect your data

AINP12607 is a dynamic PDF that may show a wait screen in a browser or on mobile; save the current file and open it in desktop Adobe Reader when needed. AINP12666 currently opens as an online web form. The live Alberta page and current form take priority over saved copies. This site does not collect business data and will not accept a proposal upload.

Check TCF thresholds and result age

In speaking/listening/reading/writing order: Graduate NCLC 7 = 10/458/453/10; Foreign Graduate NCLC 5 = 6/369/375/6; Rural NCLC 4 = 4/331/342/4. TCF results must be less than two years old at EOI.

Respect program and decision boundaries

Farm Stream follows a separate paper application and is outside this three-stream guide. AAIP controls provincial assessment and nomination; IRCC controls federal status, including a work permit and permanent residence. This is not legal advice, immigration advice, accounting advice, tax advice or financial advice.
