PEQ Conditions and French Requirements for 2026
PEQ is for certain Québec graduates and temporary foreign workers. The program is temporarily open until July 2, 2028, but the 2026 intake and eligibility conditions have specific limits that must be checked before an application.
2026 intake
The Government of Québec states that the temporary reopening runs from July 2, 2026 to July 2, 2028. The 2026 intake period runs from July 2 to October 31; that window does not make every applicant eligible.
Québec graduates and temporary foreign workers
Graduate and temporary-worker streams have separate study, credential, or work-experience conditions. The 2026 intake criteria also refer to specified education or work experience as of November 19, 2025, so a TCF result alone cannot establish PEQ eligibility.
