OINP French-Speaking Skilled Worker: closed status and next route

Ontario says the Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream closed on May 30, 2026 as part of the OINP redesign. Applications received under the former framework are assessed under the rules in place when they were filed; new candidates should review the Workforce Priority Stream.

Closure date

The former stream closed on May 30, 2026. Its old CLB/NCLC 7 and NOI wording should not be treated as an open application route.

Existing applications

Ontario says applications received under the former framework are assessed using the eligibility rules in place when the application was submitted. That does not reopen the stream for new applicants.

Current route

Review Workforce Priority for the current job-offer, TEER, language, EOI, and employer-position-approval rules.

TCF preparation

TCF Canada practice can support French-test preparation, but the official test provider and immigration authorities make the test and nomination decisions.
